Software Engineer (L2) Messaging Channels Team

Role overview Build and operate backend services that connect messaging channels and help businesses deliver rich, reliable communications at scale. The work spans APIs, message routing, cloud operations, and the compliance and connectivity features needed to support channels such as WhatsApp, RCS, and Messenger.

Responsibilities - Design and maintain high-throughput REST APIs and backend services in Java or Go. - Develop messaging features and improve routing and delivery pipelines. - Deploy and support cloud services, focusing on reliability, low latency, and fault tolerance. - Use AI-assisted development tools in coding, debugging, or documentation workflows. - Participate in on-call rotations, including weekends and holidays, to support critical services. - Collaborate with distributed teams through clear written and verbal technical communication.

Requirements - At least 3 years of hands-on backend software development experience with Java or Go. - Experience designing and building production REST APIs. - Experience operating distributed systems on cloud infrastructure; AWS is preferred, with Azure or Google Cloud also relevant. - Practical experience using AI development tools to support software work. - Strong technical communication skills and availability for an on-call rotation.

Nice to have - Experience with NoSQL databases, message queues, or Kubernetes-based deployments. - Background in telecom or rich messaging, including RCS, SMS/MMS, or over-the-top messaging.
