Senior Software Engineer (REMOTE)

Role overview Build and strengthen backend services for a cybersecurity platform used in both commercial and government settings. You’ll take features from design through production, accounting for scale, security, auditability, and regulatory controls across standard cloud and GovCloud environments.

Responsibilities - Design and deliver backend features that work across enterprise and segmented, regulated environments. - Build in secure coding practices, audit logging, role-based access controls, and encryption from the start. - Review and guide teammates’ code to support maintainability and rigorous security standards. - Coordinate with DevOps and governance teams on deployments through CI/CD pipelines and ongoing monitoring. - Maintain production services and improve the software and development process with cross-functional colleagues.

Requirements - U.S. citizenship, ability to meet government and enterprise security standards, and eligibility for security clearances. - Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, or equivalent experience. - 7–10+ years of Python experience and strong Django or Django REST Framework skills; practical Django application experience is especially useful. - Experience designing scalable microservices and applying sound software architecture, object-oriented principles, and design patterns. - Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, authentication, authorization, RBAC, and multi-tenant systems. - Hands-on experience with AWS and regulated or FedRAMP environments; familiarity with databases, caching, and message brokers.

Nice to have - Go, Elasticsearch, or experience with search-heavy, data-intensive, or AI-powered products. - Familiarity with Redis or Memcache, RabbitMQ or Kafka, and current AI development tools and practices.
