Data Consolidation Analyst

Role overview Support database consolidation, migration, and system integration projects across multiple businesses. This hands-on analytical role focuses on understanding how data is structured and used in existing systems, defining how it should move into target systems, and checking that conversions are accurate and complete.

Responsibilities - Examine source databases, applications, and business processes to identify data structures, relationships, dependencies, and requirements. - Create and maintain source-to-target mappings and document transformation, cleansing, conversion, and business rules. - Investigate data discrepancies and coordinate fixes with business and technical teams. - Support user acceptance and conversion testing, including pre-migration assessments and audits. - Reconcile converted data and conduct post-migration checks for completeness, integrity, and quality. - Track issues, outcomes, and lessons learned, and help improve repeatable migration processes and controls.

Requirements - At least three years of experience in data analysis, database migration or conversion, systems integration, business analysis, or a related area. - Experience reviewing source and destination database structures, data elements, and business processes. - Strong understanding of relational databases, including tables, fields, relationships, and dependencies. - Ability to map data, identify transformation needs, validate results, and investigate root causes of discrepancies. - Careful documentation skills for mappings, business rules, test results, issues, and conversion outcomes. - Ability to work independently while collaborating with project managers, stakeholders, application owners, and technical teams.

Nice to have - A bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, analytics, business, accounting, finance, or a related field; relevant professional experience may substitute. - Coursework or certifications in database management, migration, integration, or business analysis; familiarity with ETL or data conversion tools.
