Senior Product Manager - Data Platform (Web3)
Job details
About this role
Role overview This role owns the product roadmap for a Web3 data platform that turns scattered data capabilities into reusable products spanning ingestion, on-chain parsing, metrics, and data-as-a-service. The position sits at the intersection of crypto-native domain knowledge and platform product management, accountable for token and market data quality while serving downstream business, growth, risk, and BI consumers. It is a global, fully remote role suited to someone who can write SQL, talk fluently about UTXO versus account models, and hold a design conversation with data engineers.
Responsibilities - Define and deliver the data platform roadmap across ingestion, on-chain parsing, metrics frameworks, data asset management, and data-as-a-service offerings. - Lead multi-chain data ingestion and parsing across EVM, Solana, Bitcoin, Cosmos, and other ecosystems, standardizing logic for transactions, transfers, contract calls, and DeFi interactions. - Own the selection and governance of token metadata, pricing, and liquidity sources, including cross-validation across CEX, DEX, aggregators, and in-house indexers. - Partner with business, growth, risk, and BI teams to expose data through APIs, datasets, and self-serve analytics tooling. - Establish monitoring, metric governance, and incident response processes to eliminate inconsistent definitions across teams. - Work closely with data engineering, backend, algorithm, and BI teams on requirement breakdown, prioritization, and delivery.
Requirements - 5-8 years of product management experience, including 3+ years on data platforms, data infrastructure, or internal data products. - Hands-on Web3 experience at a wallet, exchange, L1/L2, data provider, or DeFi protocol. - Practical knowledge of on-chain data structures, including blocks, transactions, event logs, internal transactions, and UTXO versus account models. - Familiarity with token data sources such as CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap, Chainlink oracles, and DEX pool pricing. - Solid grasp of data warehouse layering (ODS/DWD/DWS/ADS), metrics frameworks, and event tracking design. - Ability to read and write SQL and validate data independently. - English and Mandarin bilingual skills are preferred due to ecosystem partners in Chinese-speaking regions.
Nice to have - Experience building a data platform from zero to one. - Familiarity with Dune, The Graph, Nansen, Covalent, or Etherscan APIs. - Working knowledge of Flink, Spark, ClickHouse, or Airflow sufficient for technical design discussions. - Background commercializing data products or running external data services.
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote with flexible hours on a global team. - Flat organizational structure with international collaboration. - Competitive salary and benefits, plus learning and career development opportunities in a fast-moving Web3 environment.
