Technical Programme Manager
Job details
About this role
Role overview
Take ownership of site readiness for a growing portfolio of large-scale AI data centre builds spanning Europe and North America. Working at the interface between construction delivery and the teams landing GPU infrastructure, network, and controls, the role ensures each building is fully prepared to receive technical scope on schedule. It is a hands-on programme management position with clear go or no-go accountability to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Track build prerequisites site by site, confirming that power, cooling, structure, white space, and connectivity meet required standards before deployment scope arrives. - Define and maintain readiness criteria, gates, and checklists aligned to the deployment turn-up sequence. - Lead readiness reviews and site walks with the build team and contractors, validating quality, schedule, and standards. - Manage dependencies across design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and network teams, maintaining an integrated readiness schedule. - Report readiness status to senior leadership with clear go or no-go positions and early visibility of risks and recovery plans. - Capture lessons learned from each site and feed them into standards so readiness becomes repeatable as the portfolio scales.
Requirements
- Technical programme or project management experience on data centre delivery, including hyperscale, colocation, or AI infrastructure projects. - A track record of running site readiness, construction-to-deployment interface, or pre-commissioning work on live data centre builds. - Working knowledge of data centre electrical and mechanical systems, including liquid cooling, and how build sequencing affects IT and network deployment. - Strong experience with readiness gates, milestone tracking, integrated schedules, and dependency management. - Confidence holding contractors and internal teams to standard, schedule, and quality while keeping relationships constructive. - Experience supporting high-density GPU deployments, ideally on NVIDIA platforms, and willingness to travel to sites across Europe and North America.
Nice to have
- Clear communication and reporting skills tailored to senior leadership audiences. - Experience partnering with Strategic Operations on tools, data, and reporting that support readiness tracking.
Benefits and work setup
- Competitive salary based on the role rather than prior compensation history. - Equity participation offering a share in long-term company success. - Retirement or pension contributions. - Comprehensive health, wellbeing, and insurance benefits. - Generous vacation allowance, with specifics varying by country based on local regulations. - Equal opportunity employer committed to accessible recruitment and reasonable accommodations throughout hiring.
