About this role
Role overview This program management role leads a multidisciplinary microwave satellite development portfolio serving U.S. government and commercial customers. The position owns cost, schedule, and delivery performance while also supporting organic growth and new captures, and can be based in San Jose on a hybrid schedule (three days per week in-office) or worked remotely from an approved location.
Responsibilities - Drive day-to-day execution of a multidisciplinary aerospace development program. - Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on the resources needed to deliver the program. - Align a diverse technical team through shared tools, practices, and processes. - Engage in technical discussions, scope work, and develop schedules and issue resolution paths. - Track and report program metrics across schedule, resources, cost, risk, and technical performance. - Act as the primary point of contact for customers, subcontractors, and suppliers. - Support business development through proposals, RFI responses, customer engagement, and organic growth.
Requirements - 5+ years of relevant program management experience. - B.S. in an engineering discipline; M.S. or Ph.D. preferred. - Track record of delivering complete hardware, firmware, software, and algorithm systems on time, to scope, with high quality. - Experience developing or managing satellite-based systems, including the ability to build and maintain integrated master schedules. - Expertise with modern cloud-based productivity tools. - Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines. - Vendor and contract management experience.
Nice to have - System engineering background with inter-discipline technical trade study experience. - Experience operating in a fast-paced startup environment. - Background managing and growing teams. - Hands-on experience with microwave instruments.
Benefits and work setup - Salary range $155,000–$220,000 plus equity and a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, a 401(k), short- and long-term disability, life insurance, three weeks of paid vacation, 12 paid holidays, unlimited sick time, and paid parental leave.
