Role overview This is a senior leadership position within a product consultancy, guiding a team of product managers while staying hands-on with strategic client engagements. The role blends people leadership, product strategy, and applied AI work, with a strong emphasis on sustainability-oriented projects and C-level advisory work.
Responsibilities - Shape the product team's strategy and align it with overall company direction alongside other leaders - Lead, mentor, and coach product managers, driving growth, talent development, and client orientation - Act as Project Lead or steering figure on key client engagements, translating goals into high-quality deliverables - Standardize product management processes and create operational synergies across diverse client accounts - Own recruiting and onboarding of senior product talent - Identify and cultivate new project opportunities directly with clients and represent the organization in the market - Embed concrete AI use cases across discovery, prototyping, and product strategy to optimize workflows - Oversee team administration, utilization, and staffing decisions
Requirements - 8+ years of product management experience in product companies, combined with consulting or agency exposure - Deep, hands-on AI expertise with practical experience applying it across discovery, prototyping, or strategy - Strong executive presence with the ability to challenge senior stakeholders and collaborate at eye level - Highly structured mindset with a track record of driving initiatives and managing stakeholders - Ability to balance technical depth with business value and monetization trade-offs - Willingness to be onsite in the Munich office at least 40% on a regular basis - Direct, empathetic, and pragmatic feedback style
Nice to have - Proven success leading complex, sustainability- or impact-driven client programs - Experience translating ambiguous client ambitions into clear, actionable plans
