QA Lead

Role overview A hands-on QA Lead is needed to set and drive the quality strategy across mobile, web, backend, and API products. The role combines technical leadership in test automation with people management, partnering closely with engineering, product, and security stakeholders. The mission is to make quality a shared responsibility and deliver secure, reliable releases at pace.

Responsibilities - Define the overall QA strategy, quality standards, testing methodologies, and an automation roadmap spanning mobile, web, backend services, and APIs. - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of QA engineers through coaching, feedback, and career development. - Plan and run end-to-end quality for releases, including functional, regression, integration, performance, compatibility, and exploratory testing. - Build scalable test automation frameworks and grow automated coverage on critical user journeys and platform components. - Embed quality gates into CI/CD pipelines and review test plans, automation code, and defect reports for consistency and maintainability. - Track quality metrics such as defect leakage, automation coverage, test effectiveness, and production incident trends, and lead triage and root cause analysis.

Requirements - 10+ years in software quality assurance with significant senior or technical leadership experience. - Proven track record mentoring QA engineers inside a fast-paced Agile environment. - Hands-on design of test strategies for mobile apps, web apps, backend services, and APIs. - Strong experience with automation frameworks such as Appium or Selenium, plus API and network debugging tools like Postman, Charles, or Proxyman. - Proficiency in Java or a comparable language, with the ability to design and review automation frameworks. - Solid knowledge of SDLC, Agile, release management, defect management, and a range of testing types including performance, compatibility, and security.

Nice to have - Background testing consumer-facing fintech, crypto, blockchain, security, or high-availability products. - Mobile testing experience across iOS and Android devices, operating systems, and configurations. - Familiarity with blockchain transactions, wallet operations, smart contracts, dApps, staking, swaps, and cross-chain flows. - Experience with performance, security, or reliability testing tools and practices. - Background building or scaling a QA function within a globally distributed organization. - Relevant software testing or Agile certifications.
