About this role
Role overview
Lead product design as a senior individual contributor across a financial product suite serving people with varied needs, including customers, caregivers, and professional representatives. The work spans discovery and research through detailed interaction design and quality review, with responsibility for design quality across core card and trust-related products. You’ll work independently while partnering closely with product and engineering leaders.
Responsibilities - Own end-to-end design for a card platform, including mobile improvements, adjacent product work, growth experiments, and AI-enabled features. - Support ongoing design needs for trust and investment products, including smaller enhancements and customer-requested changes. - Identify important research questions and run interviews, usability studies, and concept tests; turn findings into product and roadmap guidance. - Represent customer needs in cross-functional discussions and help teams understand users with different contexts. - Advise product and engineering leaders on requirements, balancing discovery, stakeholder input, and delivery pace. - Maintain coherent, polished experiences using established design patterns across product areas and user groups.
Requirements - At least eight years of product design experience, particularly in lean teams, with a strong end-to-end portfolio from discovery to interaction detail and QA. - A proactive approach to customer research and insight generation. - Experience designing complex products for multiple audiences with distinct needs. - Strong collaboration with product, engineering, and non-design partners while maintaining design quality. - Sound judgment about when to investigate deeply and when to move forward, with the ability to explain design decisions to senior or external stakeholders. - Comfort staying hands-on as an individual contributor and building on existing patterns.
Nice to have
Experience in fintech, financial services, or regulated products; familiarity with the needs of caregivers, older adults, or people with complex needs; and understanding of user experience considerations for AI-powered features.
