Role overview
This leadership role directs a team of technical consultants delivering cybersecurity services to U.S. federal customers across Federal Civilian, Department of Defense, and Intelligence Community agencies. The position bridges strategic leadership with hands-on delivery oversight, owning engagement execution, scope management, and revenue performance on mission-critical programs. It requires an active TS/SCI or higher clearance, is based remotely within the United States, and involves up to 50% travel.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5-10 professional services consultants supporting federal programs - Set individual targets for billable utilization, professional development, and operational compliance - Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, and staffing across high-priority federal engagements - Own delivery performance, project margins, and recognized services revenue across the federal portfolio - Ensure engagements are delivered on time and within budget in line with active Statements of Work - Build relationships with key agency stakeholders including Contracting Officers, CISOs, and Program Managers - Partner with sales, customer success, and engineering to scope engagements and resolve delivery friction
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience - 5+ years of experience in professional services, technical consulting, or systems integration within enterprise IT or cybersecurity - 3+ years of direct people management experience leading technical consulting or delivery teams - Deep understanding of the U.S. federal market and the operational dynamics of federal IT deployment - Active TS/SCI or higher clearance, or immediate eligibility - U.S. citizenship - Working knowledge of federal contracting frameworks including FAR, DFARS, and CPARS processes
Nice to have
- Expertise in cybersecurity architecture and domains such as Endpoint, XDR, Network/NDR, Data Security/DLP, or SIEM/SecOps - Experience with Firm-Fixed-Price and Time & Materials contract structures - Familiarity with Salesforce for pipeline and delivery tracking
