Enterprise Deployment Manager
Job details
About this role
Role overview This role owns the path from a signed enterprise commitment to sustained customer use, taking deployment work off the founder and engineering by default. The position blends hands-on technical understanding with strong organizational skill, coordinating stakeholders, plans, and blockers until the product is live and adopted. It is a fit for someone who can hold the customer rollout accountable while keeping engineering focused on product work.
Responsibilities - Turn an agreed customer commitment into owners, milestones, prerequisites, acceptance criteria, and a realistic go-live plan - Run working sessions with customer operators, technical stakeholders, and decision-makers, keeping expectations accurate on both sides - Coordinate access, configuration, data preparation, training, and support arrangements, recording decisions and risks before launch - Bring reproducible blockers and clear priorities to core engineering, track resolutions, and verify customer outcomes - Own launch readiness, first-use experience, issue triage, and early follow-up to confirm the deployment is working - Convert lessons from each rollout into better checklists, customer guides, and internal playbooks
Requirements - Experience leading business-to-business software rollouts or complex implementations through go-live and early adoption - Ability to build a credible plan with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and keep it current when reality changes - Working knowledge of access, data, security review, training, and support as parts of one customer rollout - Skill at diagnosing problems well enough to give engineers a clear account of what failed and what the customer needs - Precise communication, follow-through without prompting, and care with sensitive customer information - Based in the United States or Canada with overlap to customer and team working hours
Nice to have - Track record of bringing an enterprise customer from signed commitment to sustained use while the product and delivery process were still evolving - Experience working through procurement, security, or multi-team rollout constraints without escalating every obstacle into a feature request - A deployment playbook built from real customer work, with examples of what changed after a difficult launch - A reputation for earning trust from both customer teams and engineers through accurate commitments and actionable blockers
Benefits and work setup - Small, distributed team with direct access to customers and to the people building the product - Reports to the founder, working closely with the COO, product manager, and engineers - Compensation combines cash and meaningful equity, aligned early in the process - Interview process includes a founder conversation, a rollout walkthrough, a paid scoped working session on an enterprise deployment plan, and a final conversation on mandate and compensation
