Sr. Manager, International Programs

Role overview

A senior leadership role within a customer delivery and operations function, driving complex, high-stakes programs across international borders, time zones, and organizational boundaries. The position is hands-on: the manager personally executes rather than coordinating from a distance, owning the full lifecycle of customer programs from pre-sale technical engagement and proof of concept through post-sale delivery and operational support. It suits an operator who thrives in a fast-moving environment where program frameworks are still being built and where mission-critical contexts demand disciplined follow-through.

Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent international programs, from contract kickoff and proof-of-concept execution through operational deployment and ongoing support. - Translate signed contracts into executable program plans with defined milestones, deliverables, ownership, and accountability, then drive follow-through across all stakeholders. - Manage scope, schedule, budget, and technical risk across diverse operational and regulatory environments without dropping threads. - Serve as the primary customer relationship contact, building direct trust with decision-makers and technical counterparts across organizations and geographies. - Coordinate alignment across internal teams including Legal, Finance, Product, Science, Engineering, and Customer Success, resolving blockers and maintaining program momentum. - Support pre-sale deal reviews, scope proofs of concept, and validate that the technical and financial picture is solid before commitments are made. - Surface risks early with proposed mitigations and proactively close gaps between customer expectations and delivery.

Requirements

- Demonstrated track record personally driving complex, multi-stakeholder programs across countries and regulatory environments to successful outcomes. - Experience navigating international procurement processes, contracting norms, cultural expectations, and compliance requirements. - Strong command of program management fundamentals: contract terms, technical requirements, stakeholder mapping, risk management, and critical-path planning. - Ability to operate independently in a small, high-output team where there is no large program office behind the role. - Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to challenge scoping teams and bring clarity to ambiguous requirements. - Comfort building program frameworks and processes rather than inheriting a mature operating model.
