Job details
About this role
Role overview
Support the day-to-day operation and improvement of a complex product program involving engineering, operations, data, and external partners. This entry-level product role emphasizes careful investigation, accurate documentation, quality assurance, issue coordination, and follow-through rather than prior product-management experience or a specific technical background.
Responsibilities
- Monitor product data for volume changes, gaps, anomalies, and emerging issues. - Maintain accurate documentation and changelogs by reconciling written records with decisions and shipped behavior. - Receive bug reports and interface feedback from operations, reproduce problems, and turn findings into actionable engineering work. - Test completed work against acceptance criteria and identify gaps between intended and implemented behavior. - Keep tickets, statuses, project records, and work queues current; surface blocked or aging work early. - Investigate logs, dashboards, and observability data to provide engineers with useful evidence about incidents.
Requirements
- Evidence of working in an environment with meaningful standards or responsibility, such as support, QA, operations, coordination, analytics, an internship, or an early-career role. - Curiosity and persistence when investigating unfamiliar systems or discrepancies. - Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to closing loops. - Clear written and verbal communication, especially when translating issues for different audiences. - Ability to organize multiple threads, ask precise questions, and work effectively with engineers and operations colleagues.
Nice to have
- Experience with an observability tool such as Datadog. - Formal or informal QA and testing experience. - Ownership experience with issue trackers such as Linear, Jira, or similar tools. - Exposure to insurance, fintech, marketplaces, regulated products, or recurring external data feeds.
Benefits and work setup
- Fully remote work, with availability aligned to U.S. time zones. - Travel for collaborative work opportunities, potentially every six to eight weeks. - Flexible working hours, home-office or coworking support, and flexible time off. - Competitive compensation with equity, healthcare coverage, FSA and 401(k) options. - Company retreats held twice yearly.
