Remote job
Product Manager
Job details
About this role
Role overview
Own the strategy, roadmap, and business outcomes for a core consumer financial product area. This is a hands-on product leadership role combining customer discovery, quantitative analysis, product specification, cross-functional prioritization, and close partnership with an engineering squad. The role suits someone comfortable making high-impact decisions with incomplete information and connecting product choices to customer value and financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Set the vision, strategy, roadmap, and success measures for a product surface over a long-term planning horizon. - Identify and frame the highest-value problems as testable bets with clear outcomes and disciplined scope. - Make trade-offs across product areas, act as the primary decision-maker, and communicate recommendations to senior leadership. - Own business and product metrics, build useful dashboards, and use customer and performance data to guide investment decisions. - Lead an engineering squad through planning, specification, prioritization, and delivery while influencing partner teams. - Develop reusable playbooks, configurable workflows, and AI-assisted practices that improve the broader product organization. - Communicate clearly from detailed execution through strategic direction and help raise the quality of product management across the team.
Requirements
- Experience owning one or more product areas end to end, including strategy and prioritization rather than only roadmap execution. - Strong judgment in ambiguous situations, including the ability to choose which problems to pursue and when to stop. - Working fluency in unit economics, contribution margin, and the ways product decisions affect financial results. - Ability to find meaningful levers in performance data and explain their implications to non-technical audiences. - Demonstrated use of AI-assisted tools to increase individual and team productivity. - Ability to learn unfamiliar domains quickly, work autonomously, communicate well, and maintain quality while reducing scope. - Experience with consumer or direct-to-consumer products; financial technology or payments experience is useful but not required.
Benefits and work setup
- Remote role for candidates located in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. - Published annual US salary range of $168,000–$225,000 plus equity, with final level and compensation determined during the process. - Benefits include unlimited paid time off, paid parental leave, a paid long-service sabbatical, limited work-from-anywhere time, health, dental and vision coverage, HSA matching, retirement matching, and disability and life insurance.
