Senior Security Operations Engineer

Role overview Help mature a security operations program and protect customer, employee, and business systems across cloud and corporate environments. The role combines security engineering, detection and response, threat hunting, incident leadership, and automation, with regular on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities - Lead security projects and review infrastructure and product changes for security risks. - Improve detection and response capabilities, investigate automated alerts, and proactively hunt for threats. - Coordinate vulnerability remediation with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams. - Maintain security policies and controls, and support employee security training. - Test and maintain controls across cloud services and corporate endpoints. - Participate in the on-call rotation and serve as incident commander when needed; automate security work where practical.

Requirements - 6–8 or more years in a security role managing complex cloud environments. - Strong experience deploying, securing, and monitoring AWS services and using tools such as CloudTrail, GuardDuty, CloudWatch, Security Hub, Inspector, and Config. - Familiarity with Docker, AWS ECS, Kubernetes, Linux and macOS hardening, command-line tools, log analysis, and common attacks. - Experience implementing or monitoring controls for frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO, CMMC, or FedRAMP. - Experience automating security tasks with SOAR tools or languages such as Python or Go. - Clear written and spoken English, sound analytical and time-management skills, and ability to work independently and with peers. - Experience working on an on-call rotation in a fast-paced environment.
