Role overview
This is a senior, customer-embedded engineering role focused on public sector and federal accounts. As a founding member of a forward-deployed team, the engineer owns end-to-end platform adoption, drives AI-powered transformation initiatives, and acts as the trusted technical point of contact for stakeholders ranging from daily users to executive leadership. The position is remote but requires Eastern Time working hours and 20–40% travel to customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of platform deployment in complex enterprise environments, including integration with existing systems and configuration for customer-specific workflows - Drive organization-wide adoption by training and supporting users across all levels, from hands-on technical teams to business leaders - Continuously identify new use cases by developing deep familiarity with each customer's business, expanding platform value across teams and business units - Serve as the primary technical point of contact, troubleshooting issues, delivering workshops, and resolving blockers proactively - Build lasting relationships with executive sponsors and end users, focusing on long-term retention and growth - Codify field insights and share recurring friction points, unmet needs, and high-value opportunities with internal Engineering, Product, and Go-to-Market teams
Requirements
- 8+ years in a technical, customer-facing role such as solutions engineering, pre-sales, technical consulting, customer success engineering, integration or implementation engineering, or software engineering with customer exposure - 5+ years working specifically with public sector or federal customers - Proven track record of driving adoption and measurable value from complex technical products in enterprise settings - Strong engineering skills for owning integrations, troubleshooting production issues, and understanding customer infrastructure - Strong Python skills, ideally with TypeScript, Java, or similar - Production experience with large language models and AI systems, including prompt engineering, agent workflows, and at-scale deployment - Clear, confident, low-ego communication style and high agency to operate autonomously in ambiguous situations - Willingness to travel 20–40% to customer sites
Nice to have
- Target annual compensation: $220,000–$240,000 OTE - Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available
