Lead Quality Analyst

Role overview A senior quality analyst role focused on embedding quality thinking across the entire delivery lifecycle, from strategy through to release. The position partners closely with developers, business analysts, designers, and infrastructure engineers to ensure that quality is treated as a shared responsibility rather than a final-stage checkpoint. It combines hands-on exploratory testing with program-level test strategy, mentoring, and cross-team advocacy for testing excellence.

Responsibilities - Partner with senior stakeholders to define product-level quality strategies and empower delivery teams to execute them. - Identify risks to software delivery early, surface them to leadership, and collaborate on mitigation plans. - Conduct exploratory testing regularly to uncover hidden issues and inform test design. - Coach developers, BAs, designers, and other roles to adopt a testing mindset and produce cleaner, more testable code. - Shape program-wide testing approaches such as UAT and end-to-end coverage across multiple products and domains. - Drive consistency in test automation across teams, including naming conventions, service contracts, layered architecture, shared tooling, and reporting dashboards.

Requirements - Significant experience working as a quality analyst embedded within cross-functional delivery teams. - Strong grasp of agile delivery, code management, deployment and migration strategies, and release management. - Practical experience with TDD, BDD, CI/CD pipelines, and quality models such as the test pyramid and the Swiss cheese model. - Ability to influence quality improvements across both on-premise and cloud-based architectures. - Demonstrated skill in designing quality strategies at program scale, including functional, performance, and security testing. - Advanced English and the communication skills needed to influence senior leaders and advocate for quality as a team-wide concern.

Nice to have - Familiarity with user experience and research practices such as prototyping, personas, and A/B testing, and how these translate into a test strategy. - Track record of mentoring junior QAs and contributing to the broader tech community through talks, writing, or open-source work.
