Role overview This senior presales role partners with account executives to remove technical doubt before it becomes an objection. The position owns the technical narrative of the sales cycle for a SaaS fundraising platform, translating nonprofit requirements into working solutions across discovery, demo, and contract stages. The work blends solution consulting, integration design, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Solution Architecture.
Responsibilities - Lead the technical side of the sales cycle as the primary presales expert, partnering with account executives from first call through signed contract. - Run discovery sessions to surface real client requirements, integration needs, and business goals rather than surface-level feature checklists. - Design and deliver tailored product demonstrations and solution proposals mapped to each prospect's specific use case. - Build solution architectures, data mappings, and integration plans across a partner ecosystem that includes Salesforce, HubSpot, Stripe, PayPal, and Zapier. - Lead technical input on RFP and RFI responses, ensuring accuracy against compliance standards such as PCI DSS and GDPR. - Channel client and market insight back to Solution Architecture and Product, and enable the Sales team with current product knowledge and competitive positioning.
Requirements - 5+ years in presales, sales engineering, or technical consulting within SaaS, fintech, or nonprofit technology. - Hands-on experience with APIs, webhooks, data integration, data mapping, and technical scoping. - Proven track record working with enterprise customers carrying large annual recurring revenue. - Direct experience integrating CRM, payment, and marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Stripe, PayPal, and Zapier. - Working knowledge of GDPR, PCI DSS, and data security and privacy best practices. - Strong presentation, communication, and storytelling skills across both technical and executive audiences, plus a bachelor's degree.
Nice to have - Experience in the nonprofit sector or with fundraising technology. - Background delivering technical workshops, training, or product enablement. - Track record supporting SaaS sales cycles in high-growth environments. - Familiarity with website conversion A/B testing.
