Remote job
NetSuite Architect
Job details
About this role
Role overview This is a senior architect position focused on modernizing and rationalizing a NetSuite platform that anchors a broader lead-to-cash ecosystem. The role blends hands-on technical leadership with governance over an implementation partner, using a "governance-through-delivery" approach in which architectural decisions are made in flight as part of producing working software. The work spans legacy rearchitecture, end-of-life module replacement, and the establishment of sustainable platform standards.
Responsibilities - Define and own target-state architecture for NetSuite and surrounding systems including HubSpot, SalesLoft, OpenAir/SuiteProjects Pro, Celigo, ZoomInfo/ZeroBounce, and a planned analytics layer. - Lead rearchitecture of legacy customizations and end-of-life modules, including a Contract Renewals to SuiteBilling migration, ARM adoption, OpenAir disposition, and customer record rationalization, sequenced into a defensible modernization roadmap. - Govern an external implementation partner's technical work, holding approval rights on significant design decisions and the standing to reject recommendations that conflict with long-term direction. - Contribute as a hands-on architect and developer on highest-leverage work, pairing with an in-house NetSuite developer and admin. - Establish and enforce development standards covering naming conventions, sandbox strategy, code review, deployment, release management, and documentation. - Design integration patterns and make build-vs-buy and middleware-vs-native decisions across CRM, marketing, sales engagement, and enrichment systems. - Translate process requirements from Finance, Sales, Services, Support, and front-office stakeholders into scalable platform design, pushing back where configuration or process change is preferable to customization. - Serve as a technical escalation backstop for production issues, stay current on twice-yearly NetSuite platform releases, and mentor the in-house developer and admin on architectural thinking.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree or international equivalent, with 8+ years of ERP/platform experience and 5+ years architecting NetSuite specifically. - Demonstrated experience leading a NetSuite modernization, rearchitecture, or major re-implementation rather than only greenfield builds or BAU administration. - Deep hands-on expertise in SuiteScript 2.x, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk (REST/SOAP), SuiteAnalytics, SuiteBundler, and the SuiteCloud Development Framework. - Strong grasp of the NetSuite data model and modules including Contract Renewals, SuiteBilling, ARM, and SuiteProjects Pro. - Proven experience designing integrations between NetSuite and CRM, marketing, or sales-engagement systems via Celigo, Boomi, Workato, MuleSoft, or comparable iPaaS tools. - Track record setting development standards and governance in a multi-developer or partner-augmented NetSuite environment, with the ability to translate between finance, front-office, and technical stakeholders.
Nice to have - Fluency applying AI tooling to architecture, design, code review, and documentation, including hands-on experience integrating AI capabilities into a platform.
Benefits and work setup - Location options include onsite in Jacksonville, FL or fully remote within the United States. - The employer is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer; visa sponsorship is not offered for this role.
