Job details
About this role
Role overview A senior design leadership role based in Riyadh, focused on shaping AI-powered products and experiences for clients across the Middle East. The position blends hands-on interaction design, strategic advisory work with executive stakeholders, and foundational practice-building within a fast-growing regional team. The designer will operate inside small, multidisciplinary product pods alongside product managers, data specialists, and forward-deployed engineers.
Responsibilities - Own end-to-end experience design across discovery, concept, prototyping, and shipped product phases, running workshops, mapping complex user journeys, producing mid-to-high fidelity visualisations, and building interactive prototypes that are tested with working software rather than static handoffs. - Design conversational, multi-modal, and autonomous AI agent flows, applying principles of trust, transparency, user control, and responsible AI guardrails. - Use AI-accelerated design tooling to compress ideation and research cycles while protecting craft quality and usability. - Run lightweight generative and evaluative user research aligned to rapid sprint cadences, championing accessibility and inclusive design from day one. - Build, evolve, and govern design systems and component libraries in close partnership with engineering to maintain pod velocity and visual consistency. - Act as a trusted advisor to client executives on ambitious AI-native products and digital transformation, contributing to pre-sales shaping and proposal work while helping establish and grow the local design practice.
Requirements - Seven or more years of product design experience with a portfolio showing strong visual craft, sound UX reasoning, fast concept-to-prototype work, and shipped end-to-end product ownership. - Demonstrated leadership on large-scale programs and zero-to-one product launches, with confidence navigating senior stakeholder groups. - Expertise in user research, journey mapping, wireframing, and rapid prototyping using lean approaches to validate desirability, viability, and feasibility. - Fluency designing for AI and data-driven products, including daily use of AI-enabled design tools in the workflow. - Strong grounding in accessibility, inclusive design, and responsive or adaptive design across devices and contexts. - Experience or experimentation with conversational interfaces such as AI chat, task-oriented assistants, voice, or multi-modal experiences. - Background operating in or developing products for the Middle East and KSA region, with a curious mindset toward challenging established ways of working.
Nice to have - A builder-and-advisor mindset suited to multidisciplinary teams combining strong local capability with global specialists. - Passion for growing the regional design community and serving as an external voice for the practice.
Benefits and work setup - Hybrid working model with three days on-site per week in Riyadh. - Self-directed career development supported by interactive tools, multiple development programs, and a peer-led cultivation culture.
