About this role
Role overview
Support the delivery of a peer-to-peer communications product by keeping its engineering work organized across sprints and releases. You’ll coordinate with engineers, app developers, and QA, helping a distributed team surface dependencies and move work forward in an asynchronous environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain issues, milestones, and roadmaps so project status stays current. - Run or support stand-ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives across time zones. - Coordinate between the core engineering team, app and UI developers, and QA to make dependencies visible. - Prepare concise status updates, release notes, and meeting summaries. - Triage bug reports and user feedback, routing them to the right engineers. - Identify blockers early, help resolve them, and keep internal documentation and processes clear.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of project coordination, project management, or similar experience; internships and open-source work count. - Strong written English, including the ability to explain technical progress clearly and briefly. - Good organization, attention to detail, and reliable follow-through. - Comfort working with engineers and learning technical concepts quickly. - Experience with issue trackers or project tools such as GitHub Issues/Projects, Jira, or Linear. - Self-direction and the ability to work effectively in a fully remote, asynchronous team.
Nice to have
- Basic knowledge of networking or distributed systems, such as peer-to-peer connections, DHTs, NAT traversal, or data replication. - Familiarity with software development lifecycles, Git, and release processes. - Exposure to JavaScript or Node.js, or experience working alongside a development team. - Interest in privacy, decentralization, or open-source software; Agile/Scrum knowledge or certification; or experience across time zones.
Benefits and work setup
The role is described as fully remote, with a globally distributed team.
