Frontend Software Engineer (100% Remote)

Role overview

This is a senior-level, fully remote frontend engineering role focused on a cross-platform desktop AI assistant built on peer-to-peer technology. The engineer ships features and fixes, owns interface quality and performance, and helps translate AI capability into a polished user experience. The work happens inside a globally distributed, English-speaking engineering team.

Responsibilities

- Deliver new product features and bug fixes with attention to reliability, performance, and user experience - Maintain codebase health through coding standards, peer code review, and automated testing - Design and build responsive, high-performance interfaces and the application state that drives them - Tune rendering performance and memory usage across desktop platforms - Collaborate effectively inside a remote, globally distributed team using clear written and verbal communication

Requirements

- Production-level experience with React or Preact alongside modern JavaScript or TypeScript - Practical knowledge of state management libraries such as Redux, Redux Toolkit, or Zustand - Skill writing modular, maintainable, and well-tested code - Experience testing and debugging complex frontend applications - Strong English communication skills suited to a remote, distributed environment

Nice to have

- Desktop application development using Electron, Tauri, or similar runtimes - Familiarity with WebRTC, media stream APIs, or real-time communication patterns - Cross-platform build experience across macOS, Windows, and Linux - Interest in or experience with peer-to-peer technologies and distributed systems - Open-source contributions, ideally in P2P or decentralized technology projects
