Role overview
A fully remote DevOps engineering role focused on architecting, implementing, and maintaining end-to-end CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, with strong emphasis on test-driven deployment and Infrastructure as Code. The work spans web, desktop, and mobile platforms and covers containerization, multi-language build systems, and release automation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and management of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools to deliver fast, reliable, and reproducible releases - Implement test-driven deployment systems that integrate automated testing, validation, and monitoring - Containerize applications and microservices with Docker and manage deployment pipelines for distributed environments - Oversee build, packaging, and publication lifecycles for JavaScript, TypeScript, and C++ packages, including semantic versioning and NPM publishing - Maintain cross-platform build pipelines using CMake or equivalent tools for consistent compilation across web, desktop, and mobile - Automate tagging, building, signing, and distribution of web, desktop, and mobile applications - Define and manage Infrastructure as Code to provision scalable and secure environments - Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to troubleshoot deployments and improve release reliability
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline - 3+ years of hands-on experience architecting CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or equivalent tools in production - Strong proficiency in test-driven deployment methodologies and automated test suites - Expertise in Docker, including image creation, registry management, and basic orchestration - Experience managing JavaScript and TypeScript package lifecycles, including versioning and NPM publishing - In-depth knowledge of C++ build systems, especially CMake - Advanced Linux system administration and networking skills, including shell scripting, firewalls, and VPN configuration - Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, AWS CDK, or AWS CloudFormation - Excellent English communication and collaboration skills for working in globally distributed teams
