Cloud Engineer III

Role overview This position sits within an Infrastructure and Operations organization, focused on gathering and interpreting cloud financial data to drive smarter business decisions. The work blends FinOps, analytics, and cross-team collaboration across multi-cloud environments to surface cost insights and optimization opportunities.

Responsibilities - Build and maintain insightful reports across multiple cloud platforms that leadership can act on. - Partner globally with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into data-driven findings and strategic relationships. - Support FinOps goal-setting and KPI tracking through data retrieval and modeling. - Collaborate closely with Cloud Governance to map data process flows and unify data sources. - Analyze and forecast cloud hosting spend, then recommend cost optimization actions. - Produce and sustain month-end and quarter-end financial reports. - Plan and execute work using Agile methodology. - Identify, scope, and explore automation opportunities aligned with team capabilities, cost, and long-term strategy.

Requirements - Self-starter with strong customer-service orientation and proven ability to deliver within a team. - Working knowledge of financial principles and business analytics. - Familiarity with application development environments, databases, data management, and infrastructure constraints. - Demonstrated ability to derive meaningful insights from large datasets. - Strong analytical background paired with comfort working alongside technology teams. - Advanced Excel skills. - Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or IBM Cloud. - Undergraduate or master's degree in computer science, management information systems, or data analytics, or equivalent work experience. - At least five years of IT experience spanning business analytics, project management, or IT finance.

Nice to have - Experience with cloud billing and cost management tooling and processes. - Familiarity with discount programs and commitment plans such as Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Spot instances, or Sustained/Committed Use Discounts. - Exposure to third-party cost optimization tools like Cloudability. - Understanding of RDBMS, NoSQL, and data lake ecosystems. - Automation development with object-oriented languages such as Java or Python. - Experience building solutions on AWS services including S3 and Lambda. - Working with REST APIs for data extraction or posting. - Understanding of building and deploying agentic AI systems.

Benefits and work setup - Remote, full-time schedule. - Minimum full-time salary range of $100,000 to $115,000, with eligibility for an annual incentive program. - Applications accepted through 14th September 2026, with possible extension based on business needs.
