Backend Engineer - Wallets (100% Remote)

Role overview

A remote backend engineering role building robust, scalable, and secure services for a wallet product within a global digital finance platform. The position contributes to decentralized financial infrastructure by designing systems that stay responsive and real-time as the user base grows.

Responsibilities

- Design and develop backend services for wallet functionality, applying agile methodologies and modern tooling. - Ensure services scale effortlessly and remain real-time responsive as the platform's user base expands. - Uphold the highest security standards across all backend processes to safeguard user assets and data. - Build and maintain microservices architecture components that compose into complex, high-availability platforms. - Apply peer-to-peer technologies where they add value to wallet and payment workflows. - Interact with relational and document databases to model wallet state, transactions, and account data.

Requirements

- Very proficient in Node.js and JavaScript programming. - Familiarity with microservices architecture for scalable applications. - Experience actively developing complex platforms end to end. - Working knowledge of peer-to-peer technologies. - Proficiency interacting with databases such as MySQL and MongoDB. - Strong security awareness with experience implementing security best practices. - Quick learner able to pick up new technologies rapidly.
