Role overview
This infrastructure engineering role focuses on deploying and operating bare-metal platforms for edge data centers supporting compute, AI, and storage workloads. The engineer will design highly available infrastructure, maintain virtualization and storage platforms, contribute to migrations and new projects, and document the architecture behind the systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable, highly available infrastructure on bare-metal environments. - Build and maintain Kubernetes platforms running on bare metal, together with Proxmox and Ceph systems. - Provide reliable Kubernetes, virtualization, and storage platforms for engineering teams to consume. - Ensure hardware designs meet performance, scalability, reliability, and business requirements. - Evaluate technologies and tools that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of virtualization solutions. - Participate in installations, migrations, upgrades, integrations, active project optimization, and architectural documentation.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems. - Experience designing or operating infrastructure involving Kubernetes, Proxmox, and Ceph. - Ability to reason about hardware architecture, availability, scalability, performance, and security. - Familiarity with virtualization platforms and the operational lifecycle of infrastructure services. - Ability to document systems, components, and architecture clearly. - Comfortable working on infrastructure projects that support compute, AI, and storage workloads.
