Senior Director, Engineering - Registration and Enrollment

Role overview A senior engineering leadership role owning the strategy, vision, and execution of a large-scale enrollment and eligibility platform that helps members enroll in services, verify eligibility, and unlock healthcare benefits through reliable, user-friendly experiences. The position leads multiple engineering teams and partners closely with Product, Client Solutions, Analytics, Data Science, and external stakeholders to optimize member activation, onboarding completion, and conversion outcomes. The leader will pair strategic thinking with the operational rigor required to run highly scalable platforms integrated with payer, employer, and healthcare partner systems.

Responsibilities - Lead multiple engineering teams responsible for enrollment, eligibility verification, benefits access, and member activation across onshore and offshore delivery models. - Define and execute the long-term technology strategy for enrollment and eligibility platforms, including architectural standards that support future growth and evolving business needs. - Drive exceptional onboarding experiences that improve enrollment completion, member activation, and acquisition funnel performance. - Partner with Product, Analytics, Data Science, Client Management, and Strategy teams to improve onboarding outcomes while ensuring platform performance, reliability, data quality, compliance, and operational excellence. - Maintain strong project governance across roadmap execution, dependency management, risk mitigation, and executive communication. - Mentor senior managers and engineering leaders, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. - 10+ years of engineering leadership experience, including management of large engineering organizations and demonstrated success leading teams of 30+ engineers. - Experience building and scaling registration, enrollment, benefits administration, or healthcare access platforms. - Strong understanding of distributed systems, platform architecture, and high-volume transaction processing, with the ability to translate business objectives into scalable technology solutions. - Exceptional cross-functional leadership, stakeholder management, project execution rigor, and operational excellence.

Nice to have - Experience within healthcare, payer, health plan, benefits administration, or eligibility ecosystems. - Background optimizing member acquisition, activation, and onboarding funnels. - Knowledge of healthcare enrollment and eligibility standards, data-intensive platforms, and large-scale integrations in highly regulated environments.

Benefits and work setup - Base salary range of $200,000 to $220,000, plus performance bonus and RSUs, with additional benefits eligibility. Up to 5% travel expected.
