QA Lead - Social

Role overview

A Quality Assurance Lead role focused on the social systems of an unannounced competitive multiplayer PvP game, spanning production through launch. Responsibilities

- Build, maintain, and execute a cross-functional QA strategy covering social systems from production through launch - Develop a working understanding of player value alongside the underlying technical architecture to inform test coverage - Identify gaps in tools and processes early and partner with engineering on automation and stability improvements - Train, supervise, and integrate external QA staff into test plans - Collaborate with QA leadership to evolve and evangelize team-wide quality standards

Requirements

- Technical testing background for backend-adjacent systems such as matchmaking, crossplay/cross-save, and entitlements - Demonstrated ability to define a QA strategy aligned with business, project, and systems needs - Skill in rapidly learning a game's architecture and translating it into efficient coverage - Experience aligning test plans with cross-disciplinary leads - Prior experience directing external test or QA staff - Familiarity with social features including matchmaking, friends, clans, chat, and trust-and-safety tooling

Nice to have

- Experience managing full-time QA staff - Background taking a project from pre-production through live support - Shipped a live-service title requiring sustained stability - Unreal Engine experience - Multi-platform experience across PC and console - Degree in Computer Science, Game Design, or a related field
