DevOps Software Engineer

Role overview This mid-level DevOps Software Engineer role owns the pipelines, Azure infrastructure, and release tooling that build and operate an integration platform, a conversational AI product, and an AI agent product. It is primarily a DevOps seat, with enough C# exposure to step into application code when a release bottleneck or performance issue lives there. The role is fully remote within the United States and reports into a Process Automation team.

Responsibilities - Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps that compile, test, and release products across environments. - Manage deployments through Octopus Deploy across development, test, staging, and production. - Deploy and configure Azure components and keep those environments consistent and documented. - Write and modify C# code to improve performance and make the product easier, faster, and safer to deploy. - Diagnose and address performance issues spanning application, database, and infrastructure layers. - Improve observability through logging, metrics, and alerting so issues surface before customers notice. - Debug production incidents across the full stack, from code to pipeline to infrastructure. - Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and coordinate release work with engineering and product managers.

Requirements - A four-year STEM degree or equivalent experience. - Three to six years of related professional experience. - Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and day-to-day Git workflows. - Experience deploying and configuring Azure components through the Azure Portal. - Experience with a release management tool such as Octopus Deploy. - Working knowledge of C#/.NET and SQL Server. - Strong analytical problem-solving skills and comfort working iteratively with cross-functional partners.

Nice to have - Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, or comparable infrastructure-as-code tooling. - Experience with monitoring platforms such as Datadog. - Comfort with REST APIs, Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, and PowerShell or similar scripting for build and deployment automation.
