Senior Platform Engineer, Growth Product Engineering

Role overview

Senior platform engineer role focused on building the foundational infrastructure that lets a growth product engineering organization move quickly and safely. The position centers on enabling AI-assisted and agentic development by owning hardened CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code migrations, account isolation, and centralized observability across an AWS-based stack. It is a hands-on, high-leverage engineering role rather than a people-management position, reporting into the growth product engineering organization.

Responsibilities

- Design and own hardened CI/CD pipelines with pipeline gates, security scans, mutation and end-to-end tests, performance and cost regression checks, and progressive delivery with automated rollback - Provide a fast, safe inner-loop developer experience through ephemeral per-PR environments, including isolated databases seeded with realistic data - Build centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting across the AWS footprint, with automated rollback for bad deployments - Lead security engineering work: remediate vulnerabilities, establish secure-by-default patterns, and automate code scanning, secrets handling, and access management - Migrate hand-built AWS resources into infrastructure-as-code, separate production from pre-production accounts, and stand up tested backup and disaster recovery with clear RTO and RPO targets - Construct paved-path, self-service tooling plus standardized blue/green, canary, and feature-flag releases, while mentoring peers

Requirements

- Strong hands-on background with CI/CD systems, infrastructure-as-code, and AWS at scale - Proficiency in Python and JavaScript (Vue), with experience using GitHub Actions workflow APIs - Familiarity with serverless and container-based services alongside internally hosted workloads - Comfort designing secure-by-default patterns and embedding security into developer workflows - Demonstrated mentorship and technical leadership experience

Nice to have

- Experience building or operating AI agents for SRE work such as alert triage, incident investigation, or safe self-healing remediation - Background migrating legacy AWS resources into codified, repeatable infrastructure
