Software Engineer II

Role overview

A mid-level software engineering role contributing to a customer experience automation platform used by global enterprise brands. The position is remote and embedded in small teams, with responsibility for shipping high-quality product features across the stack. Engineers work in an agile environment with continuous deployment, partner with support teams to improve real-world usability, and tackle complex technical problems with visible customer impact.

Responsibilities

- Contribute to building a scalable, stable, and user-friendly product that supports continued business growth - Collaborate with experienced engineers across the product development lifecycle - Work with support engineers and customer-facing teams to surface usability issues and address technical defects - Operate within an agile software engineering environment, including source control, release management, testing, and continuous deployment - Solve complex technical problems on a daily basis with direct visibility into customer outcomes - Move between backend and frontend development challenges as needed

Requirements

- Background in software engineering with hands-on experience in object-oriented programming and test-driven development - Strong programming skills producing maintainable, efficient, reliable, and secure code - Willingness and flexibility to switch between backend and frontend work - Openness to learning new technologies and technical approaches - Good written and spoken English, suitable for a remote and collaborative environment

Nice to have

- Familiarity with Git, Kotlin, React, Ruby, RabbitMQ, Redis, or MongoDB - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field - Prior experience applying Agile development or Scrum practices Benefits and work setup
