Senior Backend Developer – External Integrations

Role overview

Build and maintain backend services that connect a platform to more than 100 external data providers. The work spans integration development, reliability, performance, and deployment practices in a distributed environment.

Responsibilities

- Design and improve backend components used by external provider integrations. - Maintain stability, performance, and observability across the integrations ecosystem. - Apply test-driven development and run A/B tests. - Improve and automate CI/CD pipelines to support reliable, faster deployments. - Monitor cloud infrastructure and distributed systems, investigate issues, and tune performance.

Requirements

- Experience writing clean, high-quality backend code and automated tests. - Familiarity with Java and the listed backend and data tools: Dropwizard or Restler, MongoDB, ClickHouse, Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch or OpenSearch, and Airflow. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Product awareness and an interest in building software that works well for users. - Good English communication, collaboration, and empathy.

Nice to have

- Experience with Feign or a similar HTTP client framework. - A strong background in building resilient distributed systems.
