Senior Backend Developer

Role overview Develop backend systems and data-processing capabilities that support remote identity verification and authentication. The work also includes tools for compliance teams, improving delivery pipelines, and keeping distributed services reliable and performant.

Responsibilities - Build and improve data-processing algorithms for identity verification and authentication. - Develop internal tools used by compliance officers, including new capabilities from the ground up. - Apply test-driven development and use A/B testing where appropriate. - Improve and automate CI/CD pipelines to strengthen reliability and speed up deployments. - Monitor, troubleshoot and tune cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.

Requirements - Experience producing clean, high-quality backend code and automated tests. - Familiarity with the stated stack: Java 17, Dropwizard or Restler, MongoDB, ClickHouse, Redis, Kafka, Kafka Streams, Elasticsearch or OpenSearch, and Airflow. - Good command of English. - Product-minded approach and interest in building software that offers a strong user experience. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with clear communication and a collaborative approach.
