Role overview
Lead the roadmap for automating KYC and document verification, turning manual review tasks into reliable, high-throughput backend workflows. You’ll work across product, customer-facing teams, and engineering to apply OCR, computer vision, language models, and other machine learning methods to document processing and assisted online verification.
Responsibilities - Define and deliver automated pipelines for document text extraction, data masking, and fraud or forgery detection. - Identify useful applications of OCR, computer vision, language models, and AI agents for documents that vary by format and region. - Assess stakeholder requests and technical feasibility, then write actionable specifications for machine learning and backend engineers. - Support audits and certifications against regulatory and customer standards. - Prioritize work, coordinate sprint execution, and take features through production. - Measure accuracy and operational impact, using results to guide product improvements.
Requirements - Product management experience with a strong technical foundation, such as prior software development, QA, or technical specialist work. - Experience replacing manual work with software automation in a data-heavy environment. - Practical understanding of OCR, computer vision, and language models, including how to assess feasibility and accuracy. - Ability to use SQL to investigate edge cases, system accuracy, and performance metrics. - Comfort working autonomously in a fast-moving environment and translating technical trade-offs for non-technical stakeholders. - Fluent English.
Nice to have - Experience with document processing, KYC or AML workflows, or fraud detection. - Hands-on use of language models or agents for unstructured data extraction. - A software development background.
