Role overview
This engineering manager role leads a team inside a security organization dedicated to abuse control engineering. The position blends people management with technical leadership, guiding engineers who build and operate the systems used to detect and contain abusive activity at scale. It is a full-time role with the option to work from one of several U.S. offices or fully remote within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of engineers focused on abuse control within the security organization - Set technical direction for the systems that identify, investigate, and mitigate abusive behavior across the platform - Partner with security, product, and engineering peers to align on priorities, roadmaps, and cross-team initiatives - Hire, coach, and develop engineers across experience levels while fostering an inclusive team culture - Contribute to ongoing improvements in detection coverage, response playbooks, and the underlying tooling the team relies on
Requirements
- Prior experience as an engineering manager, tech lead, or equivalent people-leadership role - Hands-on background building or operating large-scale production systems - Comfort working closely with security, product, and infrastructure stakeholders - Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration - Eligibility to work in the United States, either onsite in one of the listed office hubs or fully remote
