Job details
About this role
Role overview
This senior product role owns the multi-year vision, roadmap, and measurable performance of a major product area within a headless content platform. The work spans discovery and definition through delivery, launch, and continuous improvement, with particular emphasis on APIs, SDKs, documentation, error messages, and composable integrations for developers. The role partners with engineering and design while guiding product practice, resolving cross-team priorities, and communicating direction to executives, customers, and industry analysts.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain a multi-year product vision and roadmap, including priority, sequencing, scope, and the reasoning behind consequential decisions. - Set a research agenda, commission discovery work, identify emerging market shifts, and determine which assumptions need validation. - Develop company-level business cases for initiatives such as pricing changes or new markets, connecting product investment to measurable commercial outcomes. - Establish release standards, readiness criteria, and delivery plans; make practical trade-offs and support teams through shipping. - Shape platform-level component and API conventions and collaborate on making documentation, error messages, SDKs, and the broader integration ecosystem effective parts of the product. - Define performance metrics, report on product-area outcomes, mentor other product managers, and present product narratives through executive, customer, keynote, and analyst communications.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering, product, or a related discipline. - At least eight years of product management experience, including at least three years with technical, developer-facing, or platform products. - Hands-on experience with developer tools or platform products and ownership of an entire product area rather than isolated features. - Technical fluency sufficient to read API documentation, conduct discovery interviews with senior engineers, and produce implementation-ready product specifications. - A record of turning a multi-year vision into shipped, measurable results, including at least one company-level investment such as a new market or pricing tier. - Strong understanding of SaaS businesses, commercial judgment, clear writing and public speaking skills, practical architecture judgment, and an inclination to test ideas with rough prototypes.
Nice to have
- Background in content management systems, content infrastructure, digital experience platforms, or closely related fields.
Benefits and work setup
- Fully remote working with flexible schedules and a monthly allowance toward home internet and electricity costs. - Initial home-office equipment and access to equipment upgrades or local co-working membership after onboarding. - 25 days of annual leave in addition to local national holidays, plus sick and parental leave. - Personal development funding for courses, books, conferences, and learning materials. - Regular online team gatherings and an annual international team-building trip.
