This is a Product Owner position focused on an inventory optimization product that is newly launched and moving toward full market availability. The role sits at the intersection of customer insight, business strategy, and engineering execution, owning the full feature lifecycle from requirements through release and adoption. The person in this seat will shape how inventory planners, buyers, and supply chain teams experience the product, with significant influence on the roadmap during a formative stage.
Responsibilities
- Advocate for end users (inventory planners, buyers, and supply chain teams) in every product decision, grounded in deep understanding of their daily workflows - Translate strategic goals into precise functional specifications and user stories that give engineering clarity and reduce rework - Make data-informed prioritization calls that balance new feature development, system stability, and customer-reported issues - Engage directly with customers to surface real-world insights and ensure the roadmap evolves around validated user value - Monitor post-release feature adoption, gather feedback, and iterate until functionality is genuinely used - Collaborate with engineering on technical and functional approaches that fit naturally into warehouse and supply chain workflows - Research and prototype AI-driven enhancements such as intelligent workflows, predictive insights, and process automation tied to real customer value - Connect Engineering, Product Strategy, Sales, and Support to tighten feedback loops around shared customer outcomes - Support Sales, Services, and Support on complex customer scenarios, ensuring proposed solutions are viable and scalable
Requirements
- 5+ years of product ownership or product management experience with a track record of shipping features customers adopt - Hands-on experience in inventory optimization, demand planning, purchasing, or supply chain workflows - Proven ability to convert ambiguous business requirements into functional specifications engineering teams can build from - Full product lifecycle ownership, including strategic prioritization balancing customer value, business impact, and stability - Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills with the ability to align technical and business stakeholders - Comfort or active curiosity with AI, whether through product integration, personal productivity use, or hands-on exploration - Self-directed with the ability to manage competing priorities without significant handholding
Nice to have
- Familiarity with NetSuite supply chain, inventory management, demand planning, or purchasing modules - A background in supply chain, inventory optimization, or demand planning with genuine industry context - Experience coordinating or contributing to product documentation for complex technical functionality - Degree in business, supply chain, computer science, or equivalent hands-on experience
