Engineering Manager II, Ivy

Role overview An engineering management role leading an internal AI platform team within an ad-tech organization. The position focuses on onboarding internal APIs, UIs, and knowledge into an external AI platform, owning the evaluations pipeline, and hiring and mentoring full-stack engineers. The team works at the intersection of applied AI, user experience, and large-scale advertising technology.

Responsibilities - Lead an internal AI platform team that onboards the organization's internal APIs, UI, and knowledge at platform scale into the external AI platform. - Work closely with product management to understand feature team surface areas, evangelize new primitives and AI UX patterns, and surface production performance feedback. - Own the evaluations pipeline and platform used by all feature teams. - Hire, mentor, and cultivate a high-performance team of full-stack engineers across seniority levels, executing against roadmap with agile best practices. - Promote software development best practices, conduct rigorous code reviews, and architect scalable web APIs, component libraries, and backend systems. - Balance and prioritize projects to maximize efficiency against company objectives, contributing code where needed for high-impact items. - Conduct interviews to attract and identify high-performing engineering candidates.

Requirements - At least 2 years of engineering management experience leading full-stack teams. - Proven track record of delivering results and leading high-impact teams. - At least 6 years of software development experience in web technologies with a history of architecting scalable systems in a high-growth technology company. - In-depth experience with TypeScript, Python, and AI-native engineering practices. - Experience with React.js and LLMs. - Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals: data structures, system design, cloud computing, and full-stack development. - Passion for building a positive engineering culture.

Nice to have - Prior experience building platform-scale teams, AI platforms, LLM evaluation pipelines, or harness engineering.
