Technical Program Manager II, Shopping Platforms

Role overview A Technical Program Manager role embedded in a Shopping and Delivery Infrastructure organization that powers catalog, indexing, retrieval, and serving systems behind shopping and ads experiences. The TPM drives a portfolio of catalog and indexing programs, partners across engineering teams, and uses generative AI as the default operating model for producing program artifacts and modernizing workflows.

Responsibilities - Drive a portfolio of catalog and indexing programs independently, keeping engineering owners, timelines, and dependencies aligned. - Run day-to-day team cadence including standups, planning, decision-tracking, and documentation. - Build and maintain program dashboards and reporting that surface progress, risks, and decisions to engineering and cross-functional stakeholders. - Manage cross-team dependencies with partner groups across catalog, indexing, retrieval, serving, and ads quality. - Use GenAI to draft core program artifacts, modernize high-toil workflows such as intake triage, status synthesis, and risk and dependency tracking, and proactively surface risks and escalation paths. - Prototype lightweight internal tools, dashboards, or workflow helpers with AI coding assistants to simplify processes. - Follow established AI guidance for risk, governance, and safety-by-design, including sensitive-data handling and validation of AI-generated outputs.

Requirements - 2–4 years of TPM experience independently driving technical programs to completion, ideally in infrastructure, platform, or data-adjacent environments. - Foundational understanding of distributed systems concepts such as services, streaming pipelines, and batch versus real-time processing. - Track record of running multiple concurrent workstreams with strong execution and follow-through. - Comfort working with data: building dashboards, tracking metrics, and converting progress into clear status updates. - Excellent written and verbal communication, including experience managing cross-team dependencies and stakeholder expectations. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience. - AI fluency with strong prompting skills, experience turning repeatable program work into durable mechanisms, and comfort operating within AI governance expectations.

Nice to have - Experience with ads, monetization, streaming systems such as Flink or Kafka, or financial-controls processes.

Benefits and work setup - Base salary range of $103,965 to $214,044 USD, plus eligibility for equity. - Remote-eligible role with in-person collaboration expected roughly 1–2 times every six months. - Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
