Network Engineer

Role overview Design and operate network infrastructure that supports reliable, secure communications. The role combines network administration and engineering with troubleshooting, security maintenance, and performance improvement. Responsibilities - Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure for operational needs and future growth. - Administer network systems and resolve connectivity or performance issues. - Configure routing, switching, VPNs, encryptors, firewalls, load balancers, and secure tunnels. - Maintain network security, including the use of encryption protocols and sound certificate and key practices. - Work with other teams to support business requirements and dependable communications.

Requirements - Experience with network engineering, infrastructure design, and network administration. - Practical ability to configure common network and security components, including routing, switching, VPNs, and firewalls. - Understanding of TLS, IPsec, certificates, key management, and network security measures. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work collaboratively. - A degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

Nice to have - CCNA, CCNP, or an equivalent industry certification. - Telco or data centre experience, such as optical networking, backbone systems, or carrier routing. - Experience with quantum technologies or interest in quantum communication and security.
