Senior SRE / Performance Engineer

Role overview

Improve the reliability and performance of high-traffic cloud-native services by investigating issues across Kubernetes environments. The work combines hands-on systems troubleshooting with building better observability, incident response, and tracing practices, while collaborating remotely with an engineering team.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose performance problems and unfamiliar failures in Kubernetes clusters running under high traffic. - Use reliability, performance, and operational metrics to guide investigations and identify service issues. - Help establish performance observability, incident response foundations, and dynamic tracing tools. - Work across networking, TLS, and HTTP reverse proxy layers when debugging systems. - Document operational practices and contribute to reproducible, automated systems work.

Requirements

- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Linux administration, and troubleshooting in cloud-native environments. - Ability to investigate complex or unknown issues using reliability and performance metrics. - Solid understanding of networking, TLS, and HTTP reverse proxies. - Fluent English and the ability to collaborate effectively with remote colleagues. - A team-oriented approach and interest in new technologies.

Nice to have

- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible. - Familiarity with monitoring and alerting systems, centralized logging, and visualization tools. - Knowledge of AWS, eBPF, Git, and programmatic operations.
