About this role
Role overview A consumer fintech company is looking for an experienced product manager to lead new initiatives, growth features, and financial-technology projects on a flagship app used by tens of millions of people. The role focuses on reducing the friction of shared expenses and building regulated, multi-player money experiences alongside designers, engineers, data scientists, and compliance partners.
Responsibilities - Own ideas end to end, from concept through launch and iteration, partnering with design, engineering, data, and compliance - Shape user stories and wireframes with designers, and kick off research to define success metrics and impact sizing - Make day-to-day business decisions and serve as the knowledge leader throughout implementation - Balance user growth of the free product against optimization of paid subscription offerings - Navigate regulatory and compliance considerations thoughtfully, treating them as design constraints rather than afterthoughts
Requirements - Mid-level or above product management experience, ideally in consumer software or fintech - Scrappy and strategic mindset, willing to jump into customer support while keeping the big picture in view - Ability to weigh product trade-offs qualitatively and quantitatively with a scientific, fact-based approach - Strong written and verbal communication skills and a quick learner who picks up new technical and industry knowledge on the job - Commitment to intellectual honesty, giving candid feedback with respect and care
Nice to have - Experience in regulated industries or globally distributed products - Deep familiarity with the existing product, plus programming, SQL, data science, statistics, or experimentation expertise - Thoughtful perspective on where AI-enabled workflows genuinely add value
Benefits and work setup - Base compensation range of $153,500 to $214,500 depending on experience, plus equity - Health, dental, and vision insurance with top-tier coverage; 401(k) with match - Flexible and unlimited paid time off, with most employees taking four to six weeks - 12+ weeks of paid parental leave and a professional development budget - Flexible hours anchored around 10am–5pm ET, with support for in-office, co-working, or fully remote work in the USA and roughly two to four in-person trips per year
