Role overview An AI team developing text-to-speech products is hiring a Software Engineer to take charge of the data infrastructure that feeds its training pipelines. The work combines cloud operations, novel data sourcing, and tight collaboration with research scientists to scale dataset production cost-effectively. Located in Toulouse, France, this engineer will help chart the dataset strategy behind upcoming product releases.
Responsibilities - Identify and onboard new audio sources into the ingestion pipeline with a resourceful, hands-on mindset. - Run and evolve GCP-based infrastructure managed with Terraform and other Infrastructure-as-Code tooling. - Partner with scientists to balance cost, throughput, and quality across the data pipeline. - Work with AI leadership to plan dataset direction for next-generation consumer and enterprise offerings. - Stay flexible as priorities shift between ingestion engineering and downstream research needs.
Requirements - BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a comparable field. - 5+ years building software in an industry setting. - Fluency in bash and Python scripting on Linux. - Practical experience with Docker, Infrastructure-as-Code, and at least one major cloud provider (GCP preferred). - Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
Nice to have - Familiarity with web crawlers or large-scale data processing systems.
