About this role
Role overview Join the data side of an AI team supporting a large-scale text-to-speech platform, owning the pipeline that fuels model training. The role blends cloud infrastructure, scripting, and engineering work to deliver petabyte-scale datasets efficiently and at low cost.
Responsibilities - Identify and onboard new audio data sources into the ingestion pipeline. - Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure powering ingestion, currently running on GCP and managed with Terraform. - Partner with research scientists to push the cost, throughput, and quality frontier, delivering richer data at greater scale. - Collaborate with the AI team and leadership to shape the dataset roadmap for next-generation consumer and enterprise products.
Requirements - BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field. - 5+ years of industry software development experience. - Strong bash and Python scripting skills in Linux environments. - Proficiency with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts, plus professional experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP experience preferred). - Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows. - Ability to juggle multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities. - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
