Test Engineer

Role overview This role is for a hands-on Test Engineer supporting government-facing applications, with a strong emphasis on functional, regression, performance, and accessibility testing. The work centers on a Pega-based application stack and includes API, end-to-end, and Section 508 accessibility validation. The position operates inside a SAFe Agile environment and requires eligibility for a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities - Develop and execute test plans and scripts covering functional, regression, performance, and Section 508 testing. - Perform regression testing using SOAP UI, including validation of Pega WSDLs and web services. - Conduct end-to-end testing of Pega applications to confirm alignment with business, technical, and functional requirements, and validate workflow implementations. - Perform accessibility testing using tools such as JAWS, and execute both manual and automated test cases with supporting evidence. - Translate requirements and user stories into detailed test plans and cases, document and track defects, and support defect triage and User Acceptance Testing. - Apply established testing methods, manage multiple priorities, and escalate issues through project management channels.

Requirements - Strong knowledge of functional, integration, regression, and smoke testing methodologies, plus test automation using tools such as Playwright, Subject7, Selenium, JMeter, or LoadRunner. - Strong API testing experience, including web services validation using SOAPUI, Insomnia, or Postman. - Strong knowledge of Section 508 compliance and accessibility testing with tools such as JAWS, plus advanced SQL skills. - 4+ years of experience with test management tools such as Confluence, Jira, HP ALM, or Azure DevOps, and demonstrated experience in a SAFe Agile environment including sprint and PI planning. - Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance; must have resided in the United States for 3 of the past 5 years. - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus 4+ years establishing comprehensive testing practices.

Nice to have - Familiarity with CMS Marketplace eligibility and appeals processing, case management workflows, or contact center operations.
