Junior Automation Tester

Role overview This role supports a government-facing software program by building and maintaining automated test suites across API, functional, integration, and regression testing. The position works closely with Agile teams to convert manual cases into automation, enhance performance testing simulations, and explore AI-assisted testing approaches. Candidates must be eligible for a Public Trust clearance and based in the United States for 3 of the past 5 years.

Responsibilities - Develop and maintain automated test scripts using BRUNO, Selenium, and Postman. - Create and maintain test suites using Scala, JavaScript, SQL, and basic Python, while converting manual test cases into automated scripts to expand coverage. - Develop and enhance Gatling performance testing simulations and frameworks, and execute API, functional, integration, and regression testing. - Maintain regression suites to safeguard application stability and data integrity, and collaborate with Agile teams during sprint planning, testing, and defect resolution. - Support and improve existing automation frameworks, troubleshoot and resolve testing issues, and evaluate AI-assisted testing tools, Code Assist, and Generative AI capabilities.

Requirements - 3+ years of experience in Test Automation and Quality Engineering. - Hands-on experience with BRUNO, Selenium, Postman, and Gatling, plus proficiency in Scala, JavaScript, and SQL with basic Python knowledge. - Experience with API, functional, integration, and regression testing, and intermediate knowledge of the Spring Application Framework. - Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments, with strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance; must have lived in the United States for 3 of the past 5 years. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have - Experience supporting CMS or Federal Healthcare projects. - Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools and Generative AI technologies. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps testing practices, or AWS cloud testing environments.
