Platform Engineer, Golang & IaC (Remote, European Union)

Role overview

Build and operate the internal platform that supports software delivery, observability, incident response, scaling, and developer experience across production workloads. This is a hands-on platform engineering role spanning delivery pipelines, reliability practices, operational tooling, and cost management. You will improve the systems used by engineering teams and participate in the on-call rotation, taking responsibility for both implementation and operational outcomes.

Responsibilities

- Own platform capabilities across CI/CD, observability, incident response, and internal developer workflows. - Improve code delivery by reducing friction, tightening feedback loops, and eliminating pipeline flakiness. - Strengthen service-level objectives and observability so teams have clearer, more useful production signals. - Improve on-call quality through better alerting, faster response, and stronger post-incident practices. - Optimize platform costs and scaling behavior across workloads and regions. - Improve the developer experience from local development through production debugging. - Participate in on-call operations and address root causes rather than only responding to individual incidents.

Requirements

- At least four years of backend or platform engineering experience with hands-on ownership of production systems. - Professional experience working with Go. - Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, observability systems, or developer-facing tooling. - Previous on-call experience, including improving alerting, operational processes, or system reliability. - Experience with at least one infrastructure-as-code tool, such as OpenTofu/Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation. - Strong communication skills, curiosity, willingness to learn unfamiliar tools, and a product-oriented approach to problem solving.

Nice to have

- Experience with cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, developer experience, or related DevOps systems. - Interest in building products for technical users and in understanding the broader operational problem space.
