Role overview
A contract Production Manager is needed to support a central production leadership function across a portfolio of game development studios. The role sits at the intersection of production, strategy, and operations, helping leaders translate strategic priorities into consistent execution while strengthening production practices across multiple development environments.
Responsibilities
- Plan, track, and coordinate central initiatives, maintaining structured oversight across the studio portfolio and aligning work with broader business priorities - Support studio leaders and development teams in surfacing production risks, blockers, and opportunities, and assist with high-priority initiatives - Maintain alignment and accountability for senior leadership commitments, tracking progress and flagging risks or misalignment early - Build and maintain reporting frameworks that give leadership clear visibility into project health, status, and key decisions - Run core operating rhythms such as studio reviews and leadership forums, producing high-quality written and verbal communication for executive audiences - Document and standardize effective production workflows, identify efficiency gains, and partner with central teams to align tools and ways of working
Requirements
- Hands-on project management experience within game development or game publishing environments - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to varied audiences - Demonstrated success working in cross-functional, collaborative settings alongside creative and technical teams - Proven ability to manage ambiguity and drive progress in fast-moving or evolving situations - Solid organizational and prioritization skills, with the capacity to juggle multiple workstreams - Working knowledge of common project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall, and tools like Jira, Confluence, or Asana
Nice to have
- Background spanning production, product, program management, or operations roles - Experience supporting leadership decision-making or executive operating rhythms - Familiarity with scaling processes and best practices across multiple teams
