Dynamics 365 Technical Architect

Role overview Set and guide the technical architecture for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Commerce, and connected Microsoft cloud services across client programmes. You will shape how environments, security, integrations, and extensions fit together, while helping delivery teams carry the design through testing, launch, and early support.

Responsibilities - Lead architecture decisions covering environments, application lifecycle management, security, integrations, and extension strategy. - Define and explain solution designs for data models, interfaces, reporting, and cutover. - Establish standards for X++ customizations and packages that support future platform updates. - Design connections among Finance & Operations, Commerce, Dataverse, Azure, and other business systems. - Review technical designs and code changes, resolve development blockers, and support UAT, cutover, and hypercare. - Align architecture, delivery scope, and estimates with functional consultants and the project manager.

Requirements - Served as a technical architect or lead developer on a production Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or AX programme. - Can map environments, identities, integrations, and data movement, and explain design trade-offs. - Strong X++ and extension-model judgment, including knowing when configuration is preferable to customization. - Designed or reviewed integrations, SSRS, and Electronic Reporting on live tenants.

Nice to have - MB-700 certification or equivalent architecture experience. - Commerce, dual-write, or Azure integration pattern experience. - DevOps and environment strategy experience for Finance & Operations. - Willingness to travel in Europe.
