Role overview This intermediate Frontend Developer position supports the user-facing layer of a healthcare-focused Clinical Intelligence platform built around the FHIR data standard for health information exchange. The remote role, based in Canada, centers on translating design concepts into intuitive, performant interfaces while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions. The work blends hands-on coding with architectural guidance, mentoring, and collaborative review.
Responsibilities - Shape the approach, scope, milestones, and solution design for responsive and scalable user interfaces across assigned modules and features - Implement front-end solutions by writing code, building components, and creating modules that meet development requirements - Develop comprehensive unit tests, maintain component documentation, and participate in testing cycles and defect resolution - Lead Angular architectural discussions and mentor teammates on best practices and coding standards - Conduct code reviews, lead pair-programming sessions, and engage in collaborative problem analysis - Contribute to monthly technology forums that guide technical processes, architecture, and strategy
Requirements - 5+ years of software development experience using Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Git - Demonstrated expertise building production Angular applications, including state management, observables, interceptors, and routing - Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent practical experience - Comfort working within agile and scrum frameworks - Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration and documentation - Healthcare or health-tech industry experience preferred
Nice to have - Familiarity with Figma, Jira, GitLab, Postman, Microsoft Azure, Jasmine/Karma, Cordova/Ionic, REST APIs, and Bootstrap - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Docker containers - Exposure to HL7 or FHIR interoperability standards
